WORKING WITH A SEX SEXOLOGIST

What to Expect on Your Journey with Intimate Roots

Deepen Trust & Emotional Connection

When you and your partner feel emotionally safe, you can share your needs and desires openly, leading to greater intimacy. A responsive, engaged connection helps you both relax, let your guard down, and enjoy more playful, fulfilling sexual experiences.

Expand Your Understanding of Eroticism

Sexuality isn’t just about technique—it’s deeply personal. Each individual’s body and desires differ. By deepening your knowledge of erotic diversity, you’ll learn both your own and your partner’s unique turn-ons, helping you speak each other’s erotic language and strengthen intimacy across gender, identity, and experience.

Cultivate and Claim Sexual Desire

Desire is a powerful tool for erotic connection and human aliveness. Yet many people hold back due to fear or past disappointment. Our focus is on helping you cultivate desire, express it directly, and ask for what you want in ways that elevate pleasure, arousal, and mutual erotic resonance.

Learn by Doing — Embody Intimacy

True change comes through practice, not just talk. That’s why I guide couples and individuals through daily touch-based exercises—from hugging and explorative contact to practices like Orgasmic Meditation (OM) and Tantric massage. Over time, these embodied experiences deepen your relational confidence and connection.

You’re welcome to attend individually or with a partner. Many people begin solo to explore personal healing or sexual growth.

What if we’re not sexually active right now?

That’s okay. There’s no pressure to perform or be at a certain place. We’ll start where you are and build from a foundation of safety and trust.

Are these sessions inclusive of all relationships and identities?

Yes. Intimate Roots is a safe, affirming space for all genders, sexual orientations, and relationship styles—including monogamous, poly, queer, and kink-affirming dynamics.

What types of practices do you use?

We integrate talk therapy, somatic work, guided touch practices, desire mapping, communication exercises, and mindfulness tools—customized to your needs and comfort level.

Is there homework or between-session work?

Yes, but it's meaningful and manageable. We offer gentle practices and reflections to help integrate what you’re learning into daily life.
